Alert Protective Services Completes Deal for Sure Security Services

CHICAGO — Alert Protective Services, based here, has acquired Sure Security Services, a 40-year-old company also headquartered in the Windy City.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“These newly acquired customers will strengthen Alert’s growing presence in the Chicago area,” says Jim Callahan, CEO of Alert Protective Services. “This is the second acquisition in the last 12 months and we will continue to look for additional opportunities in the Chicago area.”

This will enhance the security experience for our customers through additional services available via the Alarm.com-connected home platform that Alert installs.”
Alert Protective Services is a full-service residential and commercial security provider that has served the greater Chicagoland area for nearly 40 years, according to an announcement. The company installs, services and monitors security, smart home and fire alarm systems, along with video surveillance systems, intercoms and wire for sound, video and telephony.
Alert Protective Services customers are monitored locally in Chicago by a UL Listed and TMA Five Diamond-certified monitoring center with a redundant location outside of Chicago.
Assisting Sure Security Services in the sale were Steve Rubin and Ken Renko of Davis Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
