Does this mean Allied Universal will pay their security guards more when California’s minimum wage increases? Instead, it seems they reduce benefits like dental and vision plans, offer overpriced health insurance, and fail to provide vacation, sick, or holiday pay. Employees report being harassed by management even with a doctor’s note for illness. Human Resources operates alongside management, creating potential conflicts of interest. The company offers an “anniversary bonus,” but it’s minimal—equivalent to one week’s pay and heavily taxed—leaving employees dissatisfied with overall compensation and treatment.

  2. Gunner says:

Allied can’t seem to take care of business on the branch level from what I’ve seen. They have to be reminded of basic things like approving vacation time and paying for vacations while on same. I’ve been with Allied for 2.5 years. My experience is that they cannot handle basic functions. Yet they are taking on more?

  3. Tammy L Murphy says:

All thou most of that is true, they still have the highest paying sites. Allied universal lost a 55million dollar contract in a bidding war and the the company that got it can’t get there stuff together to be able to take over and the have said they weren’t going to match the pay that is already in place. At least Allied will work with you to help you get what you need.

  4. Retired says:

Allied is the worst company to work for . They promise everyone they service the world . They employees are mostly high school drop out or failed want to be cops ! After 26 years as state law enforcement something I would never recommend as an employer . New Jersey office based on my experience .

  5. MGW says:

Gunner is absolutely correct. I have been with AUS here in California as a ERT Lead 3. I have 30+ years in Government work. These guys have no business taking on any more work. I have to watch my pay “EVERY” week to make sure I am paid correctly or paid at all! Worst supervisor, administrative organization ever.

  6. Kay says:

I Have been an employee of Allied Universal since 2015 and still Is an employee I since then relocated to California two weeks ago. I will not except any criticism of any kind coming from a broken Employee or anyone wanting to score hater points.
So far this company have went over and beyond for me since I been with the company. Thank you Allied universal for even giving me the opportunity to be a great security officer for your company ❤️

  7. Philip A Costello says:

Forget about decent pay or benefits. Allied is only concerned about the bottom line. As a result they are losing their good people and filling positions with other then quality officers
Why is corporate greed the norm. What is wrong with sharing some of the profits. How does management expect good people to work for under $15.00.
The responsibly and danger are ever present . I have been spat at, punched, flashed, pulled patients out of their cars loaded with feeces, tackled people to the ground and called a Son of a B___ more than once just because I was trying to help. And guess what, I was paid a pathetic $15.00 an hour. You may ask why I stayed, I didn’t not for long.
It could be a great job helping people, a job to be proud of. But not for $15.00 ,or $18.00. The job calls for $20.00 to $25.00 an hour to get quality people.
WAKE up Allied. Be a good corporate employer.
