APG Security offers manned guarding and investigative services on a national level. The deal will result in an expanded geographical reach for its clients.

SANTA ANA, Calif. — Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company in North America, announces it has acquired APG Security, a South Amboy, N.J.-based company offering manned guarding and investigative services on a national level. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“APG Security’s talented management team has built a reputable business offering top-of-the-line security services on a national level,” says Steve Jones, CEO of Allied Universal. “This acquisition is part of our long-term plan to continue to provide unmatched depth of resources into local markets around the country.”

For more than 42 years, APG Security has been protecting businesses and people by providing top-notch security solutions, according to the company.

APG Security says it provides its clients with highly trained uniformed security officers for residential and commercial security, and special events.

“This acquisition will result in an increase in security service offerings and expanded geographic reach for our clients,” says Dennis M. Kelly, CEO of APG Security. “In addition, Allied Universal will offer our elite team of security professionals more opportunities for career management, trainings and growth.”

Allied has made more than half a dozen acquisitions in 2019. Prior to the APG Security buy, the company acquired manned guarding provider SOS Security Services just a few weeks ago.
