American Alarm Purchases Eaglestar Security
The monitoring of former Eaglestar customer locations has been transferred to American Alarm’s company-owned and operated UL-Certified central monitoring station.
ARLINGTON, Mass. — American Alarm and Communications announces it has completed the acquisition of Sutton, Mass.-based Eaglestar Security. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Established in 1985 by Christopher Yacino, Eaglestar provided security, access control, video and fire alarm services for 950 homes and businesses located primarily in Central Massachusetts.
Yacino and all of Eaglestar’s employees will remain with the company and join the team at American Alarm’s full-service Central Massachusetts branch located in Auburn, Mass.
“We are pleased to welcome the Eaglestar team and their customers to our group,” says Louis Sampson, chief operating officer and co-owner of American Alarm. “Security and life-safety services are technology intensive, yet they still require an experienced professional team to work with customers and make sure their specific needs are met. That’s our approach, to be the strong local company that stays close to our customers, with sufficient scale to deliver excellent and timely service. Chris and the Eaglestar staff will be great additions to our team.”
The 24/7 security system monitoring of former Eaglestar customer locations has been transferred to American Alarm’s company-owned and operated UL-Certified central monitoring station, located here.
“American Alarm shares many of the values that are important to me: honesty, high-quality service, and a customer-first attitude,” Yacino shared with Eaglestar customers in a letter announcing the acquisition. “For years, I’ve referred many larger alarm installations to American Alarm and have always received positive feedback on the work American Alarm has done. I know that American Alarm will provide top-notch service in the future.”
Founded in 1971 by three engineers who met at MIT, American Alarm is a family-owned business now led by the second generation of the Sampson family. The company monitors more than 25,000 subscribers from its UL-listed, Five-Diamond Certified central station.
Richard Sampson, founder and currently chairman of American Alarm and Communications, is a 2019 SSI Industry Hall of Fame inductee.
