Amherst Acquires Buffalo Alarm’s Residential & Commercial Accounts
Buffalo Alarm will complement Amherst’s existing operations, and the combined customer base will expand its service area.
AMHERST, N.Y. — Amherst Alarm, based here, announces the company has acquired all residential and commercial security accounts of Buffalo Alarm for undislcosed terms.
“Amherst Alarm is now in its 38th year of operations as a family-owned security systems company. We have built a reputation for responsiveness and top-quality services, supported by state-of-the-art technology, to make our customers’ experience the best it can be,” says Amherst CEO Tim Creenan, an SSI Industry Hall of Fame inductee.
He continues, “Acquiring one of Western New York’s locally-owned security companies, Buffalo Alarm, will complement our existing company operations, and the combined customer base will give us an expanded service area.”
The former owners of Buffalo Alarm, the Adolf family, state: “We were selective in choosing the best fit for our clients. Amherst Alarm’s commitment to technology, and all the conveniences this brings to our former customers, will help make this a smooth transition for all involved.”
The acquisition offers increased strength in all the emerging technologies and confirms Amherst Alarm’s customer-centric service as second to none in New York, according to the announcement. The company operates out of its new headquarters, located at 2361 Wehrle Drive in Amherst, N.Y.
Amherst Alarm has been in business for almost four decades and currently has over 70 people on staff. The company offers residential and commercial security systems, including fire alarm systems, video surveillance and ANET security monitoring; home security and environmental monitoring systems; A/V and home automation systems; home theater; central vacuuming; and medical alert response systems.
