ASSA ABLOY Acquires Door Supplier Stiles Custom Metal

California-based Stiles Custom Metal has played a key role in the hollow metal door and frame industry for more than four decades.

CERES, Calif. — Stiles Custom Metal, a supplier of steel doors and frames for commercial applications in the United States, has been acquired by ASSA ABLOY.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located here in the Golden State’s Central Valley, Stiles Custom Metal was established in 1977 and has some 70 employees. The company has played a vital role in the hollow metal door and frame industry for more than four decades, according to its website.

The company bills itself a nationwide leader in the design and manufacturing of built-to-order commercial steel doors and window systems, as well as a trusted partner to architects, dealers and building owners. Stiles’ markets encompass all facets of the construction industry, providing door and window system solutions throughout the U.S. and abroad.

“The addition of Stiles allows us to fortify our steel door and frame offering in the U.S. and in particular the West Coast market,” says Kent Winter, president of ASSA ABLOY Door Group.
