Banner Solutions Expands Locksmith Biz With H.L. Flake Security Hardware Buy
Houston-based H.L. Flake Security Hardware is one of the largest independent security hardware distributors in the United States.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Banner Solutions, a national wholesaler of security opening hardware products, has acquired H.L. Flake Security Hardware for undisclosed terms.
With a strong position in the locksmith market, Houston-based H.L. Flake Security Hardware is one of the largest independent security hardware distributors in the United States.
The acquisition will enable Banner Solutions, based here, to further strengthen its offering to the locksmith customer base, according to an announcement.
“H.L. Flake is a company we’ve long admired for their commitment to serving the locksmith customer,” says Banner President and CEO. “This represents a tremendous opportunity for Banner Solutions to add a wealth of expertise and history in that critical channel, as well as an assortment of products that more completely service the needs of the locksmith. At the same time, H.L. Flake customers will gain the power of Banner’s industry-leading distribution network.”
H.L. Flake is expected to be fully integrated onto the Banner Solutions platform by the end of 2021. Until integration is completed, customers should continue to use the sites independently. Eventually, H.L. Flake accounts will be migrated to Banner Solutions, but until that time customers are being told to assume business as usual with both brands.

The acquisition marks Banner Solutions’ seventh as a platform and second under Tailwind Capital.
