Boyd & Associates Expands Southern California Footprint With SNI Buy

The purchase comes months after Boyd & Associates acquired Lightning Security, a provider of security systems in the SoCal service area.

VENTURA, Calif. — Installing security contractor Boyd & Associates, based here, has acquired Security Network Inc. (SNI) for undisclosed terms.

Founded in 1992 by Mitch Salehi, SNI offers commercial and residential intrusion and fire alarm systems in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Prior to founding SNI, Salehi was a perennial top salesman for Westec Security.

The transaction was finalized in August and brings Boyd & Associates nearly 900 commercial and residential customers, according to an announcement.

“Mitch and his entire staff will be joining Boyd & Associates to continue providing the kind of service SNI customers have come to expect. Former SNI customers will enjoy the expanded service offerings provided by Boyd & Associates, like 24-hour service, mobile apps, alarm response and more,” explains Boyd & Associates President Dan Boyd.

The purchase comes months after Boyd & Associates acquired Lightning Security, a long-time provider of security systems in the Southern California service area.

“We are grateful that while the pandemic has been hard on everyone, we have been able to continue to provide the same level of customer service while expanding our reach,” Boyd says.

He described SNI as a family-operated company similar to Boyd & Associates. Boyd has been a long-time friend of Salehi since his top performer days at Westec.

“Watching Mitch and his wife, Nazli, grow the business to where it is today made this transition seamless,” Boyd says. “With a core company value of treating every customer like they were the only customer, Mitch knew his customers were going to be in the best hands with Boyd. As he and his wife approach retirement, his involvement during the transfer shows his true dedication to customer service.”

Boyd & Associates has made a string of smaller acquisitions in the last decade, ramping up the speed of purchases in the past two to three years. With locations in both Ventura and Orange Counties, the company can service customers throughout Southern California.
