Burnes Citadel Security Expands Reach in St. Louis Region
The acquisition of Semper Fi Security marks the company’s fifth acquisition in the past three years and 11th since 2013.

ST. LOUIS — Burnes Citadel Security, based here, has completed its purchase of Semper Fi Security of St. Charles, Mo., for undisclosed terms.
The deal marks the company’s fifth acquisition in the past three years and eleventh since 2013, according to a press release. Since beginning its strategic growth initiative six years ago, Burnes Citadel’s market share has continued to increase in eastern Missouri and southern Illinois.
Burnes Citadel is consistently recognized as being a regional market leader for interactive technology in home alarm systems and commercial security systems, the release states.
Semper Fi is an ideal fit with the comprehensive suite of security services and innovative lifestyle products offered by Burnes Citadel, according to the release.
In addition to its expertise in asset-protection capabilities — including advanced alarm, detection and prevention technology — Semper Fi has vast experience with implementing whole-home smart controls, remote functionality, lighting systems and more.
“We’re very excited about this acquisition, because Semper Fi brings so much to the table for us,” says Chris Burnes, president of Burnes Citadel. “We’re constantly looking for more ways to enhance the levels of safety and protection we can provide for both commercial and residential customers, and this is a big step in that direction.”
Founded in 1973, Burnes Citadel has continually expanded its wide range of customized products to stay at the forefront of smart home technology, intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance and other systems, according to the release.
The company also provides its own central station services through a local UL-Listed, TMA Five Diamond-certified monitoring facility.
