CertaSite Acquires Teasley Fire Protection in Kentucky

The acquisition of family owned and operated Teasley Fire Protection marks CertaSite’s entrance into Kentucky.

INDIANAPOLIS — CertaSite, based here, has acquired Teasley Fire Protection, a family owned and operated fire protection company that serves Frankfort, Ky., and the surrounding areas.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is CertaSite’s first in Kentucky.

With seven years rooted in Frankfurt and more than 20 years of combined industry experience, Teasley Fire Protection has extensive experience in providing services for fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, suppression systems and emergency lighting solutions.

Teasley’s reputation in the region will allow the company to grow its customer base and expand into new markets under the CertaSite umbrella, according to an announcement on the company’s website.

“CertaSite is a company that we trust because they share our values and code of ethics for saving lives and protecting property,” says Teasley Co-Owners Joe and Carissa Teasley. “We fully believe that under CertaSite, our customers will benefit from efficient and streamlined services, with enhanced administration support and advancements like online customer portals, inspection management and reporting, expanded service areas, life safety maintenance programs, and multi-location support with a certified expanded life safety technician workforce.”

With the close of the acquisition, Joe Teasley will remain with the company in a new role while CertaSite Regional Manager Don Hennessy will oversee office management.

“We are grateful to Joe and Carissa Teasley and the Teasley family for their continued partnership throughout this process,” says Jeff Wyatt, CEO of CertaSite. “We are committed to preserving the legacy that these dedicated professionals built, and we recognize and respect their strong local presence. We are thrilled to be expanding our unique brand of customer service in Kentucky and look forward to serving this market.”

CertaSite, a portfolio company of Riverside Co., has acquired 14 fire protection and life-safety companies since being established in 2018.
