CertaSite Purchases Fire Loss Control, Marking 7th Acquisition in Ohio

CertaSite says Fire Loss Control’s reputation will allow it to grow under the company within its current customer base and expand into new markets.

CLEVELAND — CertaSite, a commercial fire protection and life-safety company, announces it has acquired Fire Loss Control, a full-service fire protection business located in Brunswick servicing the greater Cleveland area.

The acquisition is CertaSite’s seventh in Ohio following its deal for Columbus’ Hamrick Fire Systems last month. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CertaSite says it provides the highest levels of customer service, responsiveness, building safety and code compliance to customers across the Midwest by going beyond compliance, focusing on partnerships and professionalism while providing customers a simplified and dependable solution to managing all of the fire protection and life-safety systems in commercial buildings.

Fire Loss Control was founded in 1971. Its reputation will allow it to grow under CertaSite within its current customer base and expand into new markets, according to the company.

“CertaSite is the perfect partner to build on the foundation laid by our employees and customers” says Fire Loss Control former owners George and Debbie Kobrak. “With CertaSite, we have a unique opportunity to blend our knowledge base with a technology-based platform that offers new product lines, is professional and rooted in best practices, and provides significant value for customers.”

CertaSite CEO Jeff Wyatt adds, “We are grateful to George, Debbie, and the Fire Loss Control team for their continued partnership throughout this process. We are proud to be a part of what these folks have spent many years building. We look forward to building on the foundation they built by offering employees development and career advancement and expanded services and support to customers.”

With the addition of Fire Loss Control, CertaSite has acquired 19 fire protection and life-safety companies throughout the Midwest and is said to be actively engaged in bringing new businesses under the CertaSite umbrella.

Markets of focus cited for 2022 include the current states listed above, along with Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee and West Virginia.
