Convergint Technologies Acquires Commercial Systems Group

CSG of Orlando, Fla., is a full-service systems contractor providing design, installation and service for all commercial low-voltage systems.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Convergint Technologies has acquired Commercial Systems Group (CSG), a leading provider of commercial life-safety and security systems for undisclosed terms.

With a dedicated focus on fire and life-safety, Orlando, Fla.-based CSG has built strong relationships with many key customers throughout the Florida region, including those in the education, entertainment, government, healthcare, multitenant facilities,  places of worship and transportation markets, according to an announcement.

All 77 CSG colleagues will be joining the Convergint organization, the announcement states.

“Dino DeRose and Chris Inman have built a strong fire and life safety business, and we are thrilled to have them and their team join us,” says Ken Lochiatto, CEO, Convergint Technologies. “This acquisition affirms our dedication to expanding our capabilities in the fire and life safety market. We welcome our new CSG colleagues into the Convergint family.”

CSG is a full-service systems contractor providing design, installation and service for all commercial low-voltage systems. The company’s primary market is greater Orlando, where it has completed installations for more than 2,500 projects, the company’s website states.

“CSG has been experiencing record growth in recent years, and teaming with Convergint will provide us with deeper technical and financial resources to further capitalize on the myriad of opportunities in the Florida region,” says CSG President Dino DeRose. “Our similar service-centric cultures will make this an easy transition for our colleagues and customers.”

Convergint, based here, provides comprehensive security integration and fire/life-safety services in more than 80 locations across four continents. With almost 20 acquisitions since 2016, the company has strategically grown its service footprint in the United States, Canada and Europe by acquiring regional market leaders. Founded in 2002, the integrator has grown to employ more than 3,400 colleagues as the business continues to expand its security offerings and geographic footprint.
