Convergint Technologies Acquires to Expand Asia Pacific Business
Convergint Technologies has purchased Integrators Australia, a systems integrator based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Convergint Technologies announces the acquisition of Integrators Australia, a systems integrator based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Integrators Australia is Convergint’s second international acquisition in 2018, and it provides Convergint with a physical location and a group of experienced colleagues to expand its service in the local market.
“Acquiring Integrators Australia is another major step in building out our global service platform,” says Ken Lochiatto, CEO of Convergint. “The addition of Integrators Australia greatly expands our presence in the Australian market and strengthens our ability to meet the service needs of our global customers in Australia.”
Founded in 2005 by Dean Monaghan, Integrators Australia is one of the largest independent integrators in Australia, servicing key clients across both Australia and New Zealand. According to its website, the company introduced the Australian market to network-based security solutions more than 10 years ago.
Integrators Australia provides a range of IT and security integration, from basic equipment procurement or consultation to complex system installation, maintenance and management. The company bills itself as a specialist in seamlessly integrating new systems into existing infrastructure, along with recommending the best approach during the design process.
Convergint chose to join forces with Integrators Australia because of its dedication to excellent customer service, a key component of the company’s own culture, according to the announcement.

Convergint Technologies is a global, industry-leading systems integrator that designs, installs and services electronic security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
In February, the company struck a deal to be acquired by Los Angeles-based Ares Management.
