IdentiSys Acquires Automated Card Systems to Grow Eastern Presence

IdentiSys offers identification, security and tracking solutions, including most applications using a plastic card, ID badge, metal tag or biometric.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — IdentiSys, based here, has acquired Automated Card Systems (ACS) of Canonsburg, Pa., for undisclosed terms. The deal includes ACS’s eastern division, based in Havertown, Pa.

Since 1999, ACS has been providing clients with photo identification, security authentication and credential management solutions along with on-site and remote services, according to an announcement. ACS East has been in business for almost 10 year offering the same portfolio of products, solutions and services.

Both companies have a history of working closely with customers across all markets including corporate, education, government, casinos, healthcare, construction and more. The companies’ client bases are located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, New Jersey and Delaware.

“Adding ACS and ACS East to the IdentiSys business portfolio and building on their solid record of success is exciting,” IdentiSys President and CEO Michael R. Shields. “We welcome the addition of their outstanding staff to our organization and, together, we will provide our customers with the IdentiSys sales and service experience we proudly deliver throughout the rest of our corporate footprint.”

Founded in 1999, IdentiSy offers identification, security and tracking solutions, including most applications using a plastic card, ID badge, metal tag or biometric. Its divisions include LINSTAR, Gebco Hawaii and ID Connection, which serves the reseller marketplace.

The purchase of ACS and ACS East marks Identisys’ 13th and 14th dealer acquisitions.

“IdentiSys is always looking at expanding our local sales and service coverage throughout the U.S.  The opportunity to add the ACS and ACS East customers and staff to our base works well with our strategy of continuous growth and expansion of the areas we cover,” he says.
