New Investors Acquire EMI Security, Create Joint Venture With Pedestal Pro
The new entity creates a cooperative relationship with Pedestal Pro including operations, engineering, production, warehousing and sales support.
LINDON Utah — EMI Security, a manufacturer of mounting solutions for cameras and video surveillance equipment, has been acquired by new investors for undisclosed terms.
As part of the transaction, a new management team has been formed and a new joint venture with Pedestal Pro, a provider of mounting solutions for access control devices, has been created, according to an announcement.
Edwin Gallun, EMI Security’s former managing director, will now serve as CEO of the new company. Pedestal Pro CEO Pike Goss and CFO Glen Squire will serve as managing members.
The new EMI Security entity, now based in Lindon, Utah, creates a cooperative relationship with Pedestal Pro including operations, engineering, production, warehousing and sales support, according to the announcement. The company was formerly based in Mayville, Wisc.
The cooperative effort will drive improved go-to-market strategies for EMI. It will also consolidate engineering teams to meet a growing industry demand for custom requests that isn’t supplied by commodity-type camera providers in the industry, according to the announcement.
The joint venture is also said to bring manufacturing expertise for polymers and ferrous materials under one roof. Overall, the new EMI Security will deliver better pricing, improved product varieties, and faster custom designs to security professionals across both video surveillance and access control market segments, according to Gallun.
“The most important driver in our company culture is to continue improving the overall customer experience during all three phases of each customer relationship — design, build and buy,” he says. “Partnering with Pedestal Pro adds the modern resources we needed to deliver faster services at better prices for high quality architectural designs and custom projects.”
“We are delighted to partner with EMI Security to leverage our modern infrastructure and custom fabrication philosophies that are uniquely designed to deliver free CAD design services, instant quotes, and 10-day lead times, just to name a few,” says Goss. “In today’s environment waiting weeks or months is unacceptable so our abilities to trim their lead times and lower their pricing — while keeping aesthetics high — will help catapult EMI Security into many more opportunities.”
In addition to custom project offerings, EMI Security has more than 40 off-the-shelf product SKU’s and Pedestal Pro has more than 90 SKU’s .
