Red Hawk Acquires Tele-Tector to Widen Mid-Atlantic Footprint
The acquisition by Red Hawk will expand its reach in serving the Baltimore, suburban Maryland and Washington D.C. areas.
BOCA RATON, Fla. — Red Hawk Fire & Security has acquired security systems integrator Tele-Tector of Maryland (TTM). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
TTM has been in business since 1967 serving the Baltimore, suburban Maryland and Washington D.C. areas. The company specializes in providing engineering, design, installation and service of integrated security systems. TTM’s clientele roster includes healthcare systems, corporations, local and county government agencies and universities.
Headquartered in Columbus, Md., TTM has more than 40 tenured team members, many of whom have been with the organization for 10 years or more with deep experience delivering innovative security services and solutions to customers, according to a press release.
“This acquisition will benefit all involved, especially the customer,” says TTM President David Spilman. “TTM has significant local expertise, trusted client relationships and solid technical expertise in complex security systems integration while Red Hawk brings additional resources and reach to support clients as we work to remain on the cutting edge of technology as innovations emerge.”
TTM’s loyal and growing security customer base will heighten Red Hawk’s ability to deliver a diverse range of service-focused security and fire solutions, along with training and support services, says Mike McWilliams, president and CEO, Red Hawk Fire & Security.
“We are enthusiastic about welcoming David Spilman and his team to Red Hawk to enhance our capabilities in one of the fastest growing markets in the country. In our search for companies that would be a good fit, TTM continued to rise to the top because of its culture of customer service and its ability to steadily grow its business profitably,” McWilliams says.
The deal for TTM marks Red Hawk’s fourth acquisition in the past 18 months. The company has continued to drive both organic and incremental growth through acquisitions since it was formed in 2012. Red Hawk arose as an independent, unified fire and electronic security services brand after its acquisition by a Comvest Partners-sponsored private investment fund of the U.S. fire and security operations of United Technologies (UTC).
