NMC at ISC West 2019: Going Big on Video Monitoring as a Service

A leading wholesale monitoring provider, NMC will make its first ever exhibition appearance on the show floor at this year’s ISC West.

ISC West 2019 will be held April 9-12 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Ahead of this year’s show, SSI spoke with National Monitoring Center (NMC) President Woodie Andrawos to see what the wholesale monitoring provider will be showcasing for its dealer partners.

What is the top offering your company is showcasing at ISC West this year, and what makes it unique or special?

Our Proactive Video Monitoring Channel Partner Program exclusively available to our dealers and integrators will be demoed live at our booth, #2071. RMR is the lifeblood of our industry and our Channel Partner Program enables our dealers to generate significant RMR to the tune of hundreds or even thousands of dollars per site location. When comparing this with a traditional alarm system it would require dozens of new subscribers compared to a single Proactive Video Monitoring site.

What other products or offerings would you like to highlight, and what are some of their unique qualities?

There are tens of millions of video cameras nationwide with the vast majority of them being self-monitored. We see a trend in Video Monitoring as a Service or VMaaS as a big trend for all of our dealer partners. There are different video monitoring options depending on the application, including options for residential subscribers all the way to the enterprise commercial end user.

We’ve taken a strategic approach to our offerings so our dealer and Integrator partners are able to differentiate themselves amongst their competitors to offer these types of services being sought after by existing and potential subscribers.

What else is new or noteworthy about the company for 2019?

We continue to expand our operations and will continue to invest in all aspects of the business throughout 2019. One investment to point out is in our people. We will be adding 100 new members to our team throughout the next two years as our explosive growth continues.

What is your company’s overall value proposition to installing security dealers/integrators? Why should they do business with you?

We continue to bring on the latest and the best in technology, people and processes across all of our third-party wholesale monitoring services. Everything we do is to empower our dealer and integrator partners to grow their businesses.

For dealers and integrators that are looking to partner with a wholesale monitoring center that can provide them with all of the services to serve their entire subscriber base, NMC is the partner of choice. We now have our own software development and R&D teams where we will continue to write software and applications for dealers and end users.

Our technological capabilities are second to none, but what separates us is our people and processes. Once a dealer signs up a subscriber, the lion share of the touchpoints is with our team. Our duty to our valued partners is to represent them well. For example, we don’t rate our monitoring center customer service representatives that engage directly with the subscriber by quantitative metrics but by qualitative ones.

Also, our two-ring guarantee ensures that we respond to every call within just a few seconds by a live person and not through automation. Our philosophy is to always do the right thing when it comes to decisions that will positively impact our dealers or their subscribers.

What do you see as some of the top opportunities in the marketplace right now?

When you take a look at trends in our industry over the next few years services will make a big impact on growth. Installing companies that employ video, access control, monitoring and cybersecurity services will increase their RMR.

We especially see video monitoring as a huge opportunity in our marketplace. With the tens of millions of existing and all the new cameras coming online daily, VMaaS is where we are making significant investments in to enable our dealers to offer these services.

Our Channel Partner Program, Proactive Video Monitoring, exclusively available through our dealers and Integrators generates hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars per month in high value RMR.

We are very excited to be exhibiting at ISC West for the first time ever this year at ISC West at booth #2071. For the last several years we’ve held an exclusive dealer only event at the beautiful Hyde Lounge in the Bellagio on Wednesday night of ISC West week from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
