Everon CEO Dan Bresingham Leaves Company, Chairman Tim Whall Named Interim CEO
Everon did not say in its statement on the departure why Bresingham left the company or how long Whall will serve as interim CEO.
BOCA RATON, Fla. — Everon CEO Dan Bresingham has left the company and board chairman Tim Whall will serve as interim CEO, according to a report from IPVM.com that was later confirmed by a company spokesperson.
“Everon is grateful to Dan Bresingham for his years of dedication and leadership, and most recently in leading Everon through monumental transformation to become a standalone, nationwide integrator,” the company said in a statement. “We thank him for all he has done to help us reach this critical milestone and warmly wish him well in all his future endeavors.”
Bresingham led Everon through its separation from ADT last year and oversaw the company’s rebranding from ADT Commercial following its acquisition by private equity firm GTCR in October 2023.
What’s Next for Everon After Dan Bresingham’s Departure
The Everon statement doesn’t mention the reason Bresingham left the company or how long Whall will serve as interim CEO.
“Tim has nearly 50 years of leadership experience within the security industry and is well-positioned to lead Everon into its next phase of growth,” the statement says. “Our vision for the future is focused on optimizing service delivery, investing in meaningful innovation, driving financial results, and keeping our commercial customers at the center of our business.”
GTCR acquired Whall’s company SecurityLink in 2000 before it was sold to Tyco/ADT, where Whall remained as president before taking over Honeywell Security Monitoring, which was also part of the GTCR portfolio, in 2004.
Bresingham teamed up with Whall there as chief financial officer and stayed on when Stanley bought Honeywell Security Monitoring in 2007. Bresingham and Whall came together again in 2010 to add a commercial security focus to residential security company Protection One.
That company eventually became Everon following several acquisitions and the divestiture of ADT Commercial last year.
Everon has made five acquisitions in its year-plus on the scene, becoming an active player in the fertile security industry M&A market.
