The board of directors of Vector Security has elected Pam Petrow to be the company’s new executive vice president.
A 22-year employee at Vector, Petrow is on the board of directors for the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and the former president of the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA).

Ed Mallen, who helped develop TextBridge while he was with Xerox, is the new president and CEO of security video compression manufacturer OzVision.
The 25-year computer industry veteran was previously president and CEO of inventory system company Profile Systems.

Tom Reilly has been named as president of intercom manufacturer Commend Int’l after the resignation of previous president Bruce Boyd.
Reilly was formerly Commend’s East Coast Regional Sales Manager.

Security sensor manufacturer Takex America has named Gary Buth as director of technical sales.

Manufacturer Jeron Electronic Systems has promoted Bill Lewis as communication sales manager for its Spectrum digital duplex intercom and paging system.
Lewis was previously Jeron’s Southeastern regional manager.

Customized systems integrator Atronic Alarms has promoted Nell Mathews as general manager. Mathews has been with Atronic for 14 years.

Osman Ahmed, a senior principal engineer for Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), has been honored as “Inventor of the Year” by SBT’s parent company, Siemens AG of Germany.
Ahmed was honored for his work on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), which combine several building automation system functions on one small microchip.

Access control supplier PCSC has hired Robert Bayer as its new director of national sales.
Bayer previously oversaw business operations and was director of visual security for Optex.

Residential audio systems manufacturer Russound has promoted Michael Stein to be the company’s research director.

Security contractor ADS Security has named W. Scott Reinke to be general manager of its United Alarm Systems location in Savannah, Ga.
Previously the district sales manager for ADT in Savannah, Reinke has also held management positions with West Palm Beach, Fla.’s Scott Alarm and SecurityLink.
