IRVING, Texas — Abloy USA has hired Shayne Spears as the new vertical market manager for the oil and gas industry. He will be responsible for developing and enabling existing distribution channel partners and introducing end users in the oil and gas market to Abloy products and services.
“Shayne is the right guy for this job,” states Abloy USA Managing Director Jerry Burhans, whom Spears reports to.
“He has technical sales and business development experience and worked for an oil and gas product manufacturing facility. He also brings new ideas to the table and I’m confident he will be a huge asset to our team,” Burhans continues.
Spears has nearly 10 years experience, including five years with Technip FMC, formerly FMC Technologies. After working as an inside sales representative with a concentration on flowline and well service sales in Canada and the Permian Basin in western Texas, he most recently served in a technical capacity assisting customers with specific applications in the oil and gas market.
“I was successful in my previous roles because of my product knowledge. I now hope to establish great relationships with new distributors and enable customer success with Abloy’s mechanical and electronic technologies,” Spears says.
He continues, “With Assa Abloy being a global leader in security solutions for critical infrastructure, products like CLIQ and PROTEC2 CLIQ Connect will be welcome additions to the oil and gas market. There is a need for these products in every facet of critical infrastructure.”
Abloy is a global manufacturer of locks, locking systems, architectural hardware, and developer of products in the field of electromechanical locking technology. As a brand of the Assa Abloy Group, the company serves a wide range of customer industries, from casino gaming, health clubs and locker space, OEM and parking meters, to public utilities, transportation, U.S. Government and vending.
