Avigilon President James Henderson Earns Spot on Canada’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’

Henderson was selected from more than 800 nominees by an independent advisory board comprising more than 20 business leaders from across Canada.

VANCOUVER, B.C., Canada — Avigilon Corp., a Motorola Solutions company, announces that James Henderson, president and COO, has been named a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2018.

Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is an annual recognition of the exceptional achievements of 40 outstanding Canadians under the age of 40, and is billed as the country’s most coveted award for young business leaders.

Selected from more than 800 nominees by an independent advisory board comprising more than 20 business leaders from across Canada, winners were chosen on four key criteria: Vision & Innovation; Leadership; Impact & Influence; and, Social Responsibility.

Since joining Avigilon in 2011, Henderson has been instrumental in the company’s rapid growth and continued success. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its market presence, brand awareness and corporate profile, to become a globally recognized leader in the security industry.

Henderson provides the strategic vision that has successfully driven Avigilon’s topline revenue growth and profitability, according to the announcement. Recently, he led the sale process resulting in the $1 billion acquisition of Avigilon by Motorola Solutions.

The 2018 recipients will be honored at the Top 40 Awards Night Gala in Toronto on Nov. 21.
