CEDIA Expo Appoints New Associate Show Director

SSI parent company Emerald Expositions announces the promotion of Ashley Sprengnether to associate show director for CEDIA Expo.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — CEDIA Expo, which is owned by SSI’s parent company, Emerald Expositions, announces the promotion of Ashley Sprengnether to associate show director.

More than 20,000 home tech professionals and over 500 exhibitors convene at CEDIA Expo annually, providing attendees a venue to see the latest products and breakthrough innovations. The 2019 installment, held Sept. 10-14, for the first time offered a security-focused pavilion on the exhibition show floor.

Before joining Emerald Expositions in 2017, Sprengnether spent eight years with CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association, where she served in the roles of tradeshow coordinator, account executive and director of corporate accounts.

“As part of our ongoing effort to evolve, adapt and enhance CEDIA Expo, we’re excited to welcome Ashley into this advanced role,” says Brian Pagel, executive vice president of Emerald Expositions.

Pagel continues, “Ashley will continue to leverage her years of industry experience and relationships to execute on our strategic vision for the business, which includes growing the core event and finding further alignment with [SSI sister publication] CEPro, Total Tech Summit and KBIS.”

CEDIA Expo will return to Denver in 2020, running from Sept. 8-12 at the Colorado Convention Center. Sprengnether will be heavily involved in the pre-planning and execution of the signature technology showcase.
