BIGGLESWADE, Bedfordshire, U.K. — AMG Systems, based here, a manufacturer of Ethernet transmission products and solutions, announces the appointment of Ziyu Yan as vice president of engineering. He will form part of the management team leading AMG’s engineering efforts.

Yan has worked in the field of Ethernet transmission for many years having spent the last 12 years employed by ComNet as principle engineer where he designed and developed many products that ComNet brought to market, according to a press release.

Yan’s knowledge and skills in design and engineering will allow him to quickly integrate into an already competent development team at AMG, according to the company.

“I’m delighted to join a dynamic team with a track record of creating innovative products; continued investment by AMG in new technology and software will significantly reduce the time to take products from concept to production,”  Yan says.

Commenting on the new appointment, Steve Clarke, the company’s managing director, says, “Our other directors and myself here at AMG have worked with Ziyu in the past and we are delighted that he has joined the AMG team. His skills and experience in the field of Ethernet transmission are first class and will ensure that AMG is well placed to rapidly increase the release of new and exciting products to the market.”

AMG, which reportedly plans to enter the U.S. market in 2021, offers a comprehensive line of fibre optic, copper and wireless video and data transmission equipment that is said to be designed to meet the needs of the security, intelligent transportation system, utility and industrial markets.
