Giacalone Associates Opens New Office in Historic Bell Works Campus
The former world headquarters of the renown Bell Labs is now the new HQ for security consulting firm Giacalone Associates.
HOLMDEL, N.J. — Security industry consulting firm Giacalone Associates has expanded its practice to the historic Bell Works campus, located here.
Led by its president, Peter Giacalone, the consulting firm has provided its services to domestic and international security technology organizations for the past 12 years, including installing security contractors, telecommunications, networking, managed services and Cloud computing solution providers.
“We are very fortunate that our clients have entrusted us for over a decade and have given us the ability to grow and expand the business,” says Giacalone, who is a contributor to SSI’s “Monitoring Matters” column. “It is exciting as we expand representing the largest carriers in the telecommunications, Cloud and networking space.”
The redeveloped six-story Bell Works complex functioned for almost 45 years as a R&D facility, initially for the Bell System and later Bell Labs. It was designed by the renowned architect Eero Saarinen, whose projects include the IBM research center in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Mich., that were suburban symbols of American wealth and innovation.
Considered among the most important post-World War II buildings in the state of New Jersey, the facility has undergone renovations into a multipurpose living and working space by its redevelopers. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
“We are humbled to have this opportunity to be part of the next wave of technology growth as tenants of Bell Works,” Giacalone says.
