PSA CEO Matt Barnette Joins SSI Editorial Advisory Board

Barnette is a seasoned veteran in the physical security industry with more than 30 years of experience in management and executive roles.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Matt Barnette, CEO of PSA Security Network, the world’s largest systems integrator consortium, is the newest member of Security Sales & Integration’s Editorial Advisory Board.

Barnette, a seasoned veteran in the physical security industry with more than 30 years of experience in management and executive roles, assumed the PSA CEO role earlier this year following the retirement of Bill Bozeman, an SSI Industry Hall of Fame inductee. Barnette assumes Bozeman’s long-time seat on SSI‘s Editorial Advisory Board.

Prior to joining PSA, Barnette served as vice president of physical access control solutions North America business unit for HID Global and previously held the role of president at Mercury Security. He joined Mercury Security in June 2016. After the successful sale of Mercury to HID Global in October 2017, Barnette maintained the operational responsibility for the Mercury business worldwide, in addition to leading the HID Government Solutions Business (PIV) and the HID Global Accounts organization.

Barnette began his security career in 1991 and has overseen sales, marketing, operations and corporate activities and initiatives during his tenure. Prior to Mercury/HID, Barnette was President of AMAG Technology, a G4S company, and spent 12 years working in various roles within the global organization.

PSA is made up of security and A/V systems integrators based in North America. Combined, PSA members operate more than 500 branch locations, employ over 13,500 industry professionals and are responsible for over $4.5 billion annually in security, fire, life safety and pro audio-visual installations.
