McLEAN, Va.The Monitoring Association (TMA) recently announced the appointment of Amy Becht to the co-chairmanship of its NextGen Committee.

Becht joins seated committee co-chairperson Jessica Lambert of AvantGuard Monitoring Centers in leading the committee. Becht is currently the director of monitoring for Vivint Smart Home.

“Through programs like NextGen, newer professionals can gain valuable insights, industry-specific knowledge, and leadership skills that can accelerate their career growth,” says Becht in the TMA announcement.

“Personally, I have benefited greatly from the mentorship and best practices shared by experienced leaders during my 16 years in the industry and involvement with TMA,” she says.

In her new role, Becht “aims to grow the offerings that are available for TMA’s up-and-coming leaders,” according to the TMA announcement.

“By providing a broader range of resources, TMA’s NextGen community can become a more valuable resource for all our members,” she says.

Why TMA Appointed Becht to Lead NextGen Committee

“Amy has been a valued TMA contributor for many years,” says TMA CEO Celia T. Besore in the association announcement. “She brings a wealth of industry knowledge and professional experience to this pivotal role. There is no doubt that our NextGen members will derive great benefit from her leadership and unique insights. We are grateful for her commitment to our young careerists.”

The NextGen group offers young professionals and those who are new to the security industry a community of peers with whom to connect and collaborate. Participants take part in social, networking, and educational events throughout the year. Some are limited to NextGen members, while others invite TMA leaders or key subject matter experts of interest.
