Platinum Tools Appoints New Marketing Manager

Scott Lipsett arrives with 25+ years in the marketing field. He takes over Jason Chesla who now serves as national accounts manager.

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. — Platinum Tools, a leader in solutions for the preparation, installation, hand termination and testing of wire and cable, has named Scott Lipsett as marketing manager.

Lipsett takes over for Jason Chesla, who recently moved into Platinum Tools’ sales department in the role of national accounts manager.

“As we continue to grow, we needed someone with the diverse experience the marketing manager role demands,” explains Lee Sachs, president, Platinum Tools. “Scott has more than 25 years in this field, and so he has all the tools necessary to take the lead in our marketing department. We are proud to have Scott on the team.”

Lipsett has a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Southern California. He started his business career as the creative services manager with Freestyle, and then worked for Fusion Marketing and MD2 Marketing as creative director. Most recently, Lipsett held the position of brand manager at Reactor Watch.

In March, NSI Industries, a provider of electrical and control products, acquired and merged with Platinum Tools. The company’s portfolio includes cable management solutions, structured wiring products, tester kits, cutters, crimpers and other products for electrical, industrial, security, audio/video, commercial, residential, datacom and telecom applications.

Founded in 1997, the company employs approximately 40 people and continues to operate out of Newbury Park, Calif.

Platinum Tools’ products have earned accolades from SSI such as Top Tech Innovation in 2016 and 2018, and a Most Valuable Product (MVP) award in 2017, in addition to being named the top brand leader in the Tools & Testers category in sister publication CE Pro Magazine’s 2018 Brand Analysis report.
