SSI Parent Company Emerald Names New Chief Executive
Hervé Sedky, appointed president and CEO, brings three decades of experience, including six years as president of Reed Exhibitions Americas.

NEW YORK — Emerald Holding (NYSE: EEX), the parent company of Security Sales & Integration, has appointed Hervé Sedky to the position of president and CEO of Emerald. Sedky will assume his new role on Jan. 5, 2021.
Brian Field, Emerald’s interim president and CEO, will continue to serve as the company’s COO.

His long and successful career in leadership roles serving the business travel and events markets, along with his strategic acumen, transformative approach, and results-orientation are an ideal fit for Emerald’s next phase of growth,” says Kosty Gilis, chairman of Emerald’s board of directors.
Sedky brings three decades of experience including, most recently, six years as president of Reed Exhibitions Americas, where he led a business of over 100 annual sector-leading events in North and South America. This highly-relevant role is complemented by a distinguished 20-year executive career at the American Express Co., where he held the title of senior vice president and general manager of American Express Business Travel, guiding the growth of a $1 billion revenue business and serving on American Express’ senior management team.
