The PDQ Award program promotes partnerships in public safety by recognizing how security companies work with local law enforcement to reduce false alarms.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Nominations are being accepted for the 15th Annual Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award presented by the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), SSI, Partnership for Priority Verified Alarm Response (PPVAR) and Installation Quality (IQ) Certification Program.

The entry deadline has been extended to July 13.

Established in 2005, the PDQ Award promotes partnerships in public safety by recognizing how a company works with local law enforcement to best manage their alarm systems and reduce false alarms. The PDQ Award helps the winners promote their companies in a positive manner by demonstrating their commitment to high quality alarm reduction programs and best practices.

We are looking for installing and/or monitoring alarm dealers in the United States and Canada that exemplify an all-out effort to reduce false alarms, such as implementing Enhanced Call Confirmation (ECC), training customers and working closely with law enforcement.

The winning security company was to be honored at a special presentation during the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Nashville; however, that event has been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

The winner will instead be announced online and featured in SSI’s October publication. The winning company’s outstanding program ideas will be also be highlighted in other security association publications and their websites.

The PDQ program’s mission is to raise industry-wide awareness, promote partnering with responding agencies for public safety, motivate alarm companies to be proactive and provide workable models.
