PSA TEC Ponders Post-Pandemic Positives, Promotes Profitability Prospects

State of PSA

Outgoing PSA CEO Bill Bozeman (standing) presided over his final “State of PSA” session, which was conducted live onsite and streamed online, as the organization’s new CEO Matt Barnette (second from right) spoke to the assembly. Also participating (l-r) were PSA’s Ric McCullough, Tech Systems’ Darryl Keeler and Security Specialists’ Dan Budinoff.

Among the key topics was the newly announced Security Industry Association Cybersecurity Certification, the first program of its kind for the physical security integrator community. “I predict this will be part of your life. Someone had to step up and do it,” said Bozeman. “This is really exciting to see come about, addressing cybersecurity and physical security needs,” added McCullough.

The panel also talked about how core managed security services (MSSP) are becoming to the integration business, with Barnette suggesting it might be time to change the terminology since it is becoming a standard offering. Finally, a major announcement was made that Alarm.com was being added as a PSA vendor partner with a tailored package for member companies.
