SAI Unveils Telematics Services at ‘Crossroads’ Conference
LAS VEGAS
Security Associates Int’l Inc. (SAI) presented its 19th annual Crossroads conference at the Aladdin Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip April 1-4. Entitled “Come Together,” reflecting the recent merger between SAI, King Central and Monital, the conference featured a continuous flow of captivating speakers and other events.
The festivities kicked off with SAI Chairman Ron Davis introducing the presidents of SAI (Jim Brannen), King Central (Tom Few) and Monital (Ray Sachs). Davis added that talks are ongoing to come up with a name for the merged monitoring services giant.
Other presentations included a session hosted by SAI’s Jim Stevens about telematics, a burgeoning recurring monthly revenue growth area for dealers. He said that meeting mobile security needs is an exciting new market and announced that SAI has unveiled its new Mobile Monitoring Services division to help dealers grow their businesses.
Easily the most entertaining aspect of the conference was “The Roast of the Century & Dubious Achievement Awards Gala,” where Davis, Few, Sachs and Brannen were all good-sport recipients of depreciating humor supplied by a cast of professional roast masters.
