Of those planning to increase the marketing spend this year, nearly third (30%) intend to dole out 5% or more than they did in 2014. The average planned increase is 13%; average intended decrease is 9%.

Facebook and LinkedIn are easily the most popular social media outlets for dealers and integrators. More than three in four now use Facebook to some extent. Instagram appears here for the first time, replacing the now defunct Google+.

It took electronic security dealers and integrators several decades but at last nearly all have their own websites. This as many companies, especially smaller outfits, are expending more energy into keeping their Facebook and other social media updated as opposed to their own websites.
