How Acadian Won the 2022 SAMMY Award for Best Promo Video
Acadian Total Security created a series of videos showing how easy it is to use its security systems.
Acadian Total Security (ATS) has embraced video media in its marketing. Company founder Richard Zuschlag is ubiquitous in many of the Lafayette, La.-based company’s messaging, bringing his personality to the forefront of the business.
But while it’s important to establish that face of the brand, ATS also recognizes the value in client testimonials, especially given the oft-cited fear of technology from many smart home customers.
Thus, ATS set out to do a series of videos showing how easy it is to use its security systems. “We wanted to highlight benefits of the system for families, so we chose a young mother to do a testimonial and tell us how she uses her system on a daily basis. She likes the peace of mind it brings to her by sending her reminders when she doesn’t lock a door or close her garage and the ease of adding additional users such as babysitters quickly. Her family enjoys the customized system tailored to their specific needs in their newly constructed home, which includes an air-conditioned A/V closet for all audio and video equipment.”
In two separate testimonial videos, homeowner Monica starts out complimenting the customer service of ATS and how the company “held our hands through the entire process.” She then discusses the various elements of the system, which includes not only alarm and surveillance equipment, but also A/V throughout the home.
She also touts how much the system helps her with her lifestyle. In terms of visuals, the video promotion shows her using her touchpanel interface as well as her smartphone to control her ATS system. The video is one of many (104 in all) that live on Acadian’s YouTube channel.
