Acadian Total Security Breaks Through Clutter to Earn 2023 SAMMY Award

Acadian Total Security earned one of its three 2023 SSI Sales & Marketing Awards (SAMMYs) for Best Sales Brochure.

People are flooded with so much information these days that it’s increasingly more difficult–if not almost impossible–for companies and products to stand out from the crowd. Those who are able to break through and leave their marks are the ones that likely will find the most success.

Like many security providers these days, Acadian Total Security encompasses what its name suggests, as its portfolio covers a range of solutions. Also like many security dealers, the breadth of what the Lafayette, La.-based company can fall through the cracks of existing and prospective subscribers if all they think about are traditional offerings such as alarms, access control and video surveillance.

The company clearly found the right formula because it earned the 2023 SSI Sales & Marketing Award (SAMMY for short) for Best Sales Brochure.

The SAMMY Awards, which are presented annually at the ISC West trade show and now in their 28th year, recognize installing security integrators, dealers and monitoring providers for their marketing, installation and overall business excellence.

 “Because ATS offers a wide array of services, we wanted to create a presentation folder that could be used for sales quotes, but also encompassed an informational piece explaining our offerings,” notes Michelle Trahan, division coordinator at Acadian. 

Leave-Behind Collateral Covers Full Range of Offerings

“The exterior cover of the folder has the ATS logo followed by two photos — one lifestyle and one of a hand holding a mobile device — along with security icons and our website address.  The inside cover contains a short history and summary of Acadian Total Security,” she says of the first thing people see of the effective leave-behind collateral. 

From there, ATS created an eight-page insert and stapled in the folder mimicking a booklet, Trahan explains. The compelling content is presented as follows: 

On page one of the insert, ATS highlights smart home security. Page two contains information about the company’s video monitoring services. Page three showcases its business solutions, and page four touches on access control systems and management, she describes.  

Acadian has a fleet tracking and management division which is described on page five, audio/visual services are expounded upon on page six. The security integrator’s medical alert division, Acadian On Call, is addressed on page seven, and lone-worker safety solutions are mentioned on page eight.  

“On the inside back cover, there is information pertaining to health and safety and an insert for a business card along with a pocket for sales quotes and marketing materials. The exterior cover has our logo, website, and phone number as well as social media icons,” she adds.
