Guardian Protection Services Inks Sponsorship Agreement With Pittsburgh Steelers

Guardian branding opportunities include digital displays throughout Heinz Field, advertising on the Steelers’ radio network, messaging on the team’s social media networks and more.

PITTSBURGH — Guardian Protection Services, a leading provider of smart security and automation services for residential and commercial markets, has reached a three-year sponsorship agreement with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers.

Guardian will receive in-stadium marketing placements as well as a variety of promotional marketing sponsorships in the residential and commercial security systems categories, through the 2020-’21 season.

Guardian branding opportunities include digital displays throughout Heinz Field, radio advertising on the Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network, messaging on Pittsburgh Steelers social media networks, participation at the annual Pittsburgh Steelers Family Fest, and other promotional benefits.

The agreement also includes exclusive annual sponsorship of the “Securing the Future” sweepstakes, which awards one fan the opportunity to announce a Steelers’ draft pick, live at Heinz Field. Guardian expects its brand messages to be seen by millions of fans who fill Heinz Field for home games during the regular season, follow Steelers social media, and tune-in for NFL football over the course of the sponsorship.

Guardian was founded in 1950 in Pittsburgh and its corporate headquarters are now in Warrendale, Pa., not far from the city center. “We’ve always viewed ourselves as Pittsburgh’s most trusted and reliable hometown security company,” says Kevin Bish, vice president of marketing, Guardian Protection Services. “A partnership with one of the most stable, successful and well-respected NFL teams is a great fit for Guardian; we’re honored to have our brand associated with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who we believe epitomize what Western Pennsylvania and hometown-strong are all about.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers were founded in 1933 and are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL, with six Super Bowl wins and 30 playoff appearances.
