How Invision Security Won the 2020 SAMMY Award for Best Vehicle Graphics Design

Pennsylvania-based Invision Security Group’s bold, predominantly pink color theme makes the company’s vehicles stand out.

A company vehicle can be a very effective form of marketing provided it succeeds in two ways: it must be eye-catching and it should clearly display who your company is or what it does. Pennsylvania-based Invision Security Group’s vehicles fulfills these requirements in spades.

Invision’s fleet is draped in hot pink, black and white, making it impossible to go unnoticed. This bold color theme echoes that of the company’s website, creating a unified brand.

“We are pink. Initially, we chose pink for the organization based on the purple cow in a field mentality, that people remember things that stand out,” explains Invision President and Co-Founder Annette Smith. “We wanted to get away from the traditional blue or red as you see in so many security integration firms. It worked out — people remember us. And, it fit nicely with the fact that we are a woman-owned organization.”

The company’s fleet of 15 comprises of a mix of Nissan vehicles. NV cargo vans are used for installation, while NV200 service vehicles and Nissan Cubes are used for PM/administrative purposes.

“We wanted to move away from the traditional Ford transits because we are different. We stand out. And, we take this approach in serving our clients, by thinking outside the box,” adds Smith.

The vehicles feature the company name, website and phone number prominently across the doors alongside a simplistic surveillance camera. The fonts are easy to read and contrast nicely with the background.

Toward the rear of the vehicle is a giant fingerprint and below is a list of Invision’s services: burglar alarms, fire alarms, access control and video surveillance.

The front bumper of the service vehicles also include the company website and phone number, while the back of the vehicle contains a large logo above the tagline “the power behind protection,” in addition to Invision’s services and phone number.
