NAPCO Releases Calculator App to Show Sunset Cost Savings
The free app is said to help dealers illustrate cost savings to end users for fire alarm accounts migrating from POTS to cellular reporting.
AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — NAPCO Security Technologies (Nasdaq: NSSC) has introduced the “NAPCO StarLink FACP-Saver Calculator App” for installing security contractor’s smart devices.
The free calculator app will help show prospective end-user clientele their actual annual savings with StarLink cellular vs. copper POTS lines on their fire alarm control panels, according to an announcement.
Dealers can open the app on any smartphone or mobile device, enter the number of lines and leased line costs, and then show comparable budgetary savings with cellular by month, year or many years.
When accounts have numerous locations, i.e., a retail chain, a school district, etc., that number can be input in the app as well, showing exponential growth, according to the announcement.
“As the POTS sunset/retirement is now escalating nationwide, accelerated further by every tornado, storm and accident, i.e., when costly phone-lines are no longer replaced, this is the perfect time to safeguard customers and accounts, and demonstrate how your company can offer huge budgetary-savings and faster alarm response times for the long term,” the company‘s announcement reads.
The app is downloadable from the Apple or Google Store by searching “StarLink FACP Saver by NAPCO.”
