7 Totally Sweet Pens and Flash Drives Found at ISC West 2019

In a cutthroat world of booth freebies, these pens and flash drives stood above all at ISC West 2019.

When a company exhibits at a trade show, it needs to come up with a way to stand out from all the other booths on the show floor. For example, look at ISC West. Nearly 1,000 companies vie for attendee attention.

There are several ways to accomplish this objective. You can create a flashy booth with giant screens and bright lights, or you can give away branded freebies.

There have been multiple studies done that look at how “free stuff” effects the human brain. In short, when someone gets something for free, it makes them happy. So why not give trade show attendees a little piece of happiness with your company name on it?

Branding is a huge part of marketing. You should be doing whatever you can to get your company name and logo out into the world. You can put your logo on hats, water bottles or even tablets — get creative with it! You can always check out past SAMMY Award winners for inspiration.

At last year’s ISC West, I left the show with a handful of awesome pens. They were so great, I had to make a slideshow about them. That’s the power of marketing, people!

Going into this year’s show, I had no intention of repeating myself. However, the pens this year were just too sweet to resist. And not only pens, but the flash drives as well!

It has become commonplace for companies to offer flash drives at their booths filled with promotional material. But this year it seemed like exhibitors really stepped up their game when it came to the design of these flash drives.

I can’t wait to see what freebie steps up at next year’s show. Marketers, start planning now! If you enjoyed this slideshow, or if I missed a totally sweet pen or flash drive, let me know in the comments or on social media. You might even want to write a blog about it!
