SDC Names Industry Veteran Tom Morrison as National Sales Manager

In his new role, Morrison will be responsible for all major SDC accounts, distributors and security and hardware representatives.

CAMARILLO, Calif. — After an extensive national search, Security Door Controls (SDC) has selected access control and architectural hardware industry sales veteran Tom Morrison to serve as national sales manager.

In his new role, Morrison will be responsible for all major accounts, distributors and security and hardware representatives. He began his career more than 35 years ago as an owner/operator of an independent sales agency specializing in Division 8 architectural builder’s hardware products.

Morrison gained invaluable knowledge working with architects and end users to develop projects through product application and specifications. He continued to grow his sales and service management and security know-how in low-energy products as a branch manager, business development manager and group manager for a national access hardware manufacturer.

SDC, based here, manufactures and markets mechanical door locks, exit devices, access controls, electronic locking devices and security systems worldwide. The company’s products are channeled through security products wholesale distributors, systems integrators, contract and wholesale door hardware distributors.

The company provides product and technology solutions for retail, airports/transportation, healthcare, pharmaceutical, commercial/industrial modifications and retrofit.
