The Ultimate Guide to ISC West 2018

What’s in Store on the Show Floor

The ISC West exhibition will officially commence at the exhibit hall entrance at 9:45 a.m. (April 11) with a ribbon-cutting presentation and confetti blast. Attendees will begin entering the exhibit hall at 10 a.m. Set among the vast collection of vendors booths will be themed, co-located exhibit spaces. Here’s a rundown:

Emerging Technology Zone

The Emerging Technology Zone will feature the next generation of innovative products and solutions that are expected to help propel the security industry. Featured will be 50 startup businesses hailing from across the cyber-physical security landscape.

Located in Hall G, this themed exhibit area will be situated between attendee registration and the food court, and will open an hour earlier than the rest of the exhibit hall.

Unmanned Security Expo

After its introduction to the show floor last year, the Unmanned Security Expo returns with a focus on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground robotics & vehicles (UGVs), plus various software and applications that support these burgeoning technologies.

The exhibition space will include a fully functional flight cage and robotics demonstration area. The expo addresses the opportunities to improve security & safety functionality with the use of UAVs and UGVs, the threats that counter-drone technologies can address to ensure public and defense safety, and policy and regulation progress and key trends.

Connected Home

Want to see the latest trends and technologies surrounding the smart home? Be sure to check out the Connected Home exhibition area on the show floor. Here you can visit vendors and service providers that specialize in home controls and how security, lighting, thermostats, appliances, entertainment and other systems connect.

Connected Security Expo

The Connected Security Expo returns for the third consecutive year and be held within the ISC West Exhibit Hall. The expo is billed as the only event where attendees can view cutting-edge products that will secure organizations and homes from both physical attacks and IT breaches. Public Security & Safety Expo

The Public Security & Safety Expo is a networking-driven exhibit space geared for professionals involved in securing borders, municipalities, schools, healthcare facilities, government institutions, transportation and cargo facilities. Manufacturers and service providers in the public and private sectors will comingle with security professionals who are responsible for the public’s security in municipalities, homeland security and their infrastructures.

Vendors serving these sectors will showcase products and services specifically to targeted buyers for each segment, as well as to the many thousands of industry professionals in attendance.

Global Expo

The Global Expo is the destination to peruse all overseas exhibitors in an exclusive and dedicated hall within the Sands Expo Center. Buyers entering the Global Expo will be there because they are seeking out international vendors and products, according to Reed, providing a much more efficient way of seeking out and evaluating products. The floor is segmented by specific industry categories, helping to facilitate the buying process for attendees.

As a final tip, consider downloading the ISC Mobile app. You can access a list of vendors and save exhibitors you want to visit, plus navigate an interactive floor map. Other app features include syncing with your My Show account to bring your planning with you, as well as review SIA Education@ISC sessions and save the ones you’ll be attending.
