A judge has temporarily enjoined Ring from selling its new Ring Protect security and home automation, suggesting the the company stole intellectual property from Zonoff that rightfully belonged to ADT.
All told, the research firm estimates the market for DIY intrusion alarm equipment totaled $60 million worldwide in 2016.
The Ring Protect DIY security and home automation system features ZigBee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, WiFi, cellular and no-contract professional alarm monitoring.
