Company News From Panasonic, Stanley Security, Altronix, and Johnson Controls

Panasonic Lights Flame of Security at Winter Games
As the athletes took part in February’s XXth Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, cameras from Panasonic Security Systems kept watch on all of them.
Panasonic provided more than 600 Super Dynamic III (SDIII) camera systems as part of the security measures for the Games. Panasonic says its cameras were sought because of their ability to provide clear pictures in any lighting condition — a virtue with the bright, white slopes and wintering conditions in the Italian Alps.

Stanley Security Opens Support Services Center
Stanley Security Solutions Inc. has opened a support services center designed to create a one-stop shop for Stanley Systems Integration customers who need information on maintaining and enhancing their access control and security systems.
Open 24/7, Stanley says the National Service Center (NSC) will serve as the backbone of its integration business.
A part of the NSC’s function will be to allow customers to consolidate administrative tasks, billing and service requests. The NSC, staffed by 40 full-time workers, will also manage and control security functions, taking the place of hired security professionals.

Altronix to Make Big Push for Power Supply Product Lines
Altronix Corp., a manufacturer of code-compliant, low-voltage power supplies, recently announced a new marketing strategy for several new product series. The new marketing plan will brand each of three new product lines: the HubWay video/data/power product series, the Maxim access/power/controller series and the StrikeIt panic device power/controller series.
The result will be a stronger identity for each one, says Alan Forman, president of Altronix and a member of the SSI Hall of Fame.
