MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis.—In December, the Mount Pleasant, Wis., Town Board voted to increase the dues structure for false fire alarms. Under the new structure, residents and businesses are charged $75 for the third false alarm per year, $100 for the fourth, and $150 for each subsequent false alarm. Town officials expect the new fees to generate an additional $3,000 per year for the town’s general fund.
