Wireless Applications Abound
The mats (WPM-xx) are waterproof and can be used inside and out. They have a dedicated compartment for the wireless transmitter. Tech Talk Tool Tip
Since this month’s theme is wireless security devices, I have selected the Inovonics EchoStream survey kit (EN/EE7016SK). Even though 900MHz Innovonics systems provide very good structure penetration — it is very important, especially with larger commercial systems, to do a detailed RF site survey. This will determine the optimal location of the wireless receivers, high-power repeaters and end-devices. Portable system testers such as these are a must-have tool for anyone serious about installing reliable wireless security systems.
This site survey kit can be used to determine the optimal location for transmitters and repeaters. This kit contains a battery-operated, handheld survey receiver along with dedicated survey transmitters. The
survey tool supports up to 16 devices.
