SSI’s 2020 Home Automation Deep Dive reveals what is helping offset a slowdown in installed system sales due to COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing a slowdown in installed system sales. However, a spike in self-installed security systems is helping to offset that, according to Security Sales & Integrations’ latest research.

SSI’s 2020 Home Automation Deep Dive has found that residential security systems dealers are among the businesses that have been the most unharmed by the economic fallout from the coronavirus.

The survey uncovered other bright spots, including rises in interactive and health-related products and services, increases in do-it-yourself (DIY) and do-it-with-me (DIWM) systems, and efficiency gains courtesy of remote system diagnostics and upgrades.
