Hikvision 2018 Cybersecurity Road Show Kicks Off in Southern California

Hikvision North America’s director of cybersecurity, Chuck Davis, will lead a multicity road show addressing cybersecurity myths and facts.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — Hikvision will open its U.S. Cybersecurity Road Show on March 27 in Burbank, Calif., located near Los Angeles. The series will continue over the next several months in locations around the nation.

Installments of “Cybersecurity Myths and Facts: Presented by Hikvision” will be led by Chuck Davis, the company’s director of cybersecurity for North America. Davis will present a 90-minute interactive education session about cybersecurity, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, myths about the video surveillance industry, and best practices to mitigate those threats and vulnerabilities.

Davis has worked for more than 20 years building cybersecurity programs for large enterprise organizations. He began working for IBM in 1997 and rose to the position of global security operations manager before leaving the company in 2011. He later returned in 2015 as executive security architect, serving in that role for more than two years prior to joining Hikvision in October 2017.

The U.S. road show follows a successful four-city road show in Canada, led by Davis in December, according to the company.

The March 27 session will be held 10 a.m. to noon at The Colony Theatre Company, 555 N. 3rd Street, Burbank, Calif. The event is free; however, space is limited and early registration is recommended. Go here to register.

The 2018 road show will travel to cities including Miami, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Houston, Phoenix and New York City.

Last year, Hikvision initiated a hotline for installing security contractors, clients and technology partners to reach the company in the event they have cybersecurity concerns. Partners can reach the company directly by calling (626) 723-2100, or by dialing the general technical support line at (866) 200-6690 and pressing #5. Related support inquiries can also be sent via email to techsupport.usa@hikvision.com.
