Security Funding Associates to Offer Cybersecurity Certification Program

InfoSafe is a SaaS service that provides risk assessments, vulnerability testing, employee training and more to secure certification.

TUJUNGA, Calif. — Security Funding Associates (SFA), a boutique investment banking firm, has affiliated with Utah-based INVISUS to offer an information privacy and cybersecurity compliance certification service to installing security contractors.

SFA will have the rights to market the INVISUS InfoSafe program to alarm dealers and central stations nationally, and then roll out specialized cybersecurity solutions to alarm subscribers. The company announced its affiliation with the InfoSafe program at the recent California Alarm Association (CAA) spring convention in Palm Springs, Calif.

InfoSafe is a SaaS service that provides participants with risk assessments, information security plans, vulnerability testing, employee training and more to secure certification. InfoSafe Certification confirms that alarm dealers and central stations comply with the many laws and regulations related to data privacy and cybersecurity.

The program includes full cyber-risk management software and services designed to:

  • Assess: Identify data security risks and compliance gaps
  • Secure: Close the security gaps and implement necessary safeguards
  • Certify: Verify successful implementation of safeguards
  • Manage: Conduct ongoing compliance support and certification

“I am thrilled with this new relationship that will provide the industry with a critical and measurable baseline of compliance with required data security and privacy regulations,” says Tony Smith, CEO of SFA. “We are in a new realm where security and risk goes beyond physical to cyber. This partnership will not only allow for compliance but also offers dealers huge RMR opportunities.”

Businesses that become InfoSafe certified demonstrate a commitment to protecting their customer and employee private information against identity theft and fraud, according to the company’s website.

To achieve certification, businesses enroll in the InfoSafe program and work with the company to implement and maintain the recommended technical and administrative safeguards required for compliance with virtually all major information security regulations, according to the InfoSafe website. These include the FTC’s Red Flag Rules, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI DSS Compliance and state laws.

SFA, based here, provides advisory services, financial and operating solutions, and specialized client-defined assignments. For more information about the cybersecurity certification program, contact Smith at (626) 795-9199 or [email protected].
