BAT-Fire Communicator Passed Rigorous UL Listing Standards

Alula’s new BAT-Fire Communicator offers a full range of features, making it ideal for dealers installing fire and life safety systems.

The universal 5G-ready communicator is ready to skip the inevitable 4G sunset. Its dual Tip and Ring Dial Capture inputs reduce installation time – and that’s just one of its many features.

A critical feature that should not be overlooked is UL Certification. The BAT-Fire communicator meets the most recent UL regulations for commercial fire alarm system communicators. That little sticker on the back of the BAT-Fire means it has passed the most rigorous testing and has earned the coveted “UL Certified” recognition.

The UL seal means the BAT-Fire communicator is nationally recognized for meeting safety and operational standards. For over 125 years, Underwriters’ Laboratories have developed a reputation for setting and maintaining standards that improve product safety in nearly 50 countries.

Dave Mayne, Alula’s Chief Revenue Officer, said there was no rush in designing the BAT-Fire Communicator.

“We wanted to get this right and for us that included the significant extra time and costs it took to gain UL Listing,” he said. “For us, it’s never worth skimping on safety and that UL logo gives our dealers and their customers peace of mind.”

As UL explains on its website, “Just because a product is not UL recognized and tested doesn’t mean it’s going to spontaneously combust. It simply means that its performance and safety haven’t been tested independently and verified to meet those safety standards.”

“We’re happy to ensure BAT-Fire was tested and verified to be free from reasonably foreseeable risks and help our customers deliver long-term, quality service,” said Mayne.

The BAT-Fire communicator met several UL regulations, the main one being UL Standard 864, 10th edition. The unit also met several applicable standards from the National Fire Protection Association, which sets fire-related standards adhered to by municipalities across the U.S.
