Galloway, N.J., Ordinance Amended
GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Galloway Township recently amended its existing alarm ordinance to require mandatory registration of alarm systems and to fine frequent false alarm abusers.
Under the amended ordinance, alarm owners are allowed up to five false alarms without being fined. However, on the fifth false alarm, a written warning of violation will be issued. Six to eight false alarms will be subject to a $50 fine, and nine through 12 false alarms will carry a $75 fine. For any false alarm thereafter, owners will be fined $125.
