ISC East Returning to New York in 2004

NORWALK, Conn. – Reed Exhibitions and its International
Security Conference and Expo (ISC) sponsor, the Security Industry Association (SIA), announce that as part of ISC’s current rotational pattern, ISC East 2004 will be held at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center on Nov. 2-4, 2004.

SIA Executive Director Richard Chace comments, “We are witnessing a complex time in our history, and we must be nimble in order to seize opportunities for our manufacturer members. SIA supports this rotational move to the New York venue in 2004 and believes it will provide increased sales and marketing opportunities for our members, while providing an excellent forum for the industry to gather and discuss policy, standards and issues.”

ISC New York will also be endorsed and supported by the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), representing ISC’s core audience of security dealers, installers, monitoring stations and integrators. NBFAA will hold its 2004 fall conference in conjunction with ISC East, which will include a variety of committee meetings, member educational sessions, an awards ceremony and the NBFAA Board of Directors meetings.

“NBFAA is pleased to endorse this year’s National Summit on Security [NSS] and its move to New York in 2004,” says NBFAA Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau. “The New York location will be beneficial to the numerous NBFAA members located in the Northeast, as well as an attractive venue for members throughout the nation.”

ISC East was held annually in New York for more than 30 years, most recently in August of 2001, prior to 9/11.  At that time, the event adopted its current rotational strategy among East coast cities.

The 2004 event will be branded ISC N.Y. – the National Summit on Security. Event organizers anticipate it will have a show floor consisting of more than 400 vendors showcasing the latest physical security products and services. ISC N.Y. will also feature a wide-ranging educational program.
